In an exclusive interview with a Christian satire news website, Babylon Bee, tech entrepreneur, and Tesla CEO Elon Musk responded to a plethora of questions including being asked to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

After thinking deeply about the offer of salvation Musk responded rather positively stating that he agrees with the principles that Jesus advocated and that there is indeed great wisdom in his teachings.

“I agree with those teachings,” stated Musk.

“Things like turn the other cheek are very important, as opposed to an eye for an eye. An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind. So forgiveness is important and treating people as you would wish to be treated, love thy neighbor as yourself, very important.”

Babylon Bee editors, CEO Seth Dillon and Editor-in-Chief Kyle Mann, and Creative Director Ethan Nicolle reacted enthusiastically & partially joking that based on his response he’s 60-70% there.

But then Musk stated, “As Einstein would say, ‘I believe in the God of Spinoza,’” alluding to a god who is not affirmed by the Christian faith. Einstein was credited for saying, “I believe in Spinoza’s God who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists, not in a God who concerns himself with fates and actions of human beings.

But as the conversation continued, Musk went on to say that if Jesus is saving people, he’s not going to stand in his way. “Sure, I’ll be saved why not?”

“I think he just said yes,” Babylon staff declared. “We got him.” Babylon Bee staff responded enthusiastically.

When asked about the next steps and even baptism, Musk said he was baptized as a baby. He then responded by relating his experience with communion as a young boy and his confusion related to the elements. Musk continued the conversation related to other stories in the Bible including water to wine and multiplying the bread and the fish.
