Justin Bieber this weekend reached out for prayer, asking his supporters and fans to pray for him as he struggles with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, a virus that affects the nerves and functionality of his facial muscles.

“I got to go get my rest on so that I can get my face back to where it’s supposed to be. I love you guys thanks for being patient with me. I’m going to get better and I’m doing all these facial exercises to get my face back to normal and it will go back to normal it’s just time and we don’t know how much time it’s going to be but it’s going to be okay.”

Bieber appeared confident he would fully recover and asked his fans to pray for him and told them he is trusting God during this time, even though he doesn’t understand what is happening.

“I trust God and I trust that it’s all going to talk for a reason and I’m not sure what that is right now but in the meantime, I’m going to rest. I love you guys. Peace.”

This message comes as Bieber was forced to cancel upcoming shows as he seeks to take care of his body and recover.

Bieber in recent years has made confessions of faith and says he is a believer.

“For those who are frustrated by my cancellations of the next shows I’m just physically obviously not capable of doing them this is pretty serious as you can see. I wish this wasn’t the case but obviously, my body is telling me I got to slow down. I hope you guys understand and I’ll be using this time to just rest and relax and get back to 100%.”
