Singer, songwriter, and Christian music pioneer Amy Grant announced earlier this month that her fall tour dates are postponed as she recovers from a fluke bike accident. But no need to worry, she is recovering well after the accident left her unconscious for about ten minutes.

According to Rolling Stone, “At the time of her injury, her publicist said Grant was unconscious for 10 minutes before being taken to the hospital by ambulance. There, doctors told her she needed “additional recovery time at home.” Her team also shared an update the following day saying that she “was wearing her helmet and we would remind you all to do the same.'”

Her fall date shows have been postponed to February and April 2023, as she focuses on her health and recovery. Grant also went through a health scare in 2020 as she had heart surgery. Likewise, she took some time to heal as she is doing now.

“Amy is getting stronger every day. Just as she did after her heart surgery, we are amazed at how fast she heals. However, although she is doing much better, we have made the difficult decision to postpone her fall tour so she can concentrate on her recovery and rebuild her stamina. She wants to be able to give 100% when she tours…”

Her team expects her to be able to perform this Christmas along with Michael W. Smith and her husband Vince Gill.

“She will resume touring with her Christmas tour with Michael W. Smith and her annual “Christmas At The Ryman” residency with her husband Vince Gill. Amy would like to extend her gratitude for all the many good wishes and prayers offered since the accident.”
