Whenever a disaster strikes, our hearts go out to those in need. We all want to do something, but what and how and when, and at what cost? These ministries are taking the lead in mobilizing a response to crisis. While most ministries are simply asking for funds, ministries including Crisis Response International out of Blue Ridge, VA is making their training available to give Christians clarity, confidence, and skills to make an impact in crisis.

1 Crisis Response International
Based out of Blue Ridge, VA, Crisis Response International (CRI) has mobilized and trained 15,000 volunteer responders who give of their time, talent, and treasure to respond to national and international disasters. The ministry only deploys trained volunteers and makes their training available multiple times per year including online training for rapid train and deploy options.

2 Operation Blessing
Operation Blessing out of Virginia Beach is mobilizing their own teams of responders. While not offering training or deployment opportunities for the general public, the ministry focuses on partnering with the Church at large and believers financially to demonstrate God’s love by alleviating human suffering through hunger relief, medical care, clean water, and disaster relief programs.

3 Morningstar Ministries
In partnership with CRI mentioned above, Morningstar Ministries is offering a Rapid Training and Deployment Event on October 8 to mobilize believers to respond to disaster situations. The one-day, all-day event will be hosted at the H.I.M. campus in Fort Mill, SC on October 8, 2022, from 8 am to 8 pm.

– Spiritual and Emotional First-Aid
– Crisis Response Ministry Model
